Finished Concepts

I have finished the graphic novel, I made some slight tweaks to each video. I had a camera on all of them and used a light to addd a eye styled view as if the player is actually looking at the evidence. Below are some screenshots but to get the full picture please visit www.timdbarnes.com

I have cropped the image of the blueprint so that the player will not have to watch the same movie file over and over, thus taking out the boredom element.

I have altered the intro shot and have created a movie from it, a red and blue light will circulate over the image representing sirens from a police vehicle.

This will be the main image that the players will see when they go onto the web page for the novel, I will animate this also. I am not sure what to do to it just yet though

I needed a way for the player to navigate around the files and decided to have them use a google map screenshot. My initial plan was to use a movie file from earth then zoom into the NUCA courtyard however this seemed pointless and unrealistic, I then went for a screenshot and decided to use it as a reference. Unfortunately due to the shape of the buildings it didnt turn out how I had intended.

I decided to go for a blueprint version, I had done some work experience in a firm that specialise in Quantity Surveying so I would use the skills I learnt there, still using the image as a reference I simply portrayed my own version.

Final Outcome, I will move the hands in After Effects as the camera zooms into the blueprint and the selections shall fade in.

Below are some shots of my progress with inserting the Hammer as the chosen weapon

Concepts Continued

I will take several shots of one place, then photoshop in the evidence on each shot, I will then fade one over the over so that it appears that the player is walking towards the evidence.

Concepts Continued

I have edited the images and placed some blood on a leaf, my overall idea is to edit the images and place in evidence with photoshop. I also created a scanner to go over the top of the image and scan the area for evidence, this will be as if the player is scanning it themselves. Also there is a keyword which the player will have to make a note of to be able to solve the mystery.
